What we've been up to so far this summer...
Wimbledon! Wimbledon is probably our favorite event to attend in London, so we were extremely excited to get our hands on some tickets again this year. Sadly, Federer was already out, but that meant we could just relax and enjoy some great matches on a beautiful, sunny day!
Great seats on Court 3...enjoying my first (of many) Pimm's of the day
Verdasco versus Gulbis
Sloane Stephens (American!) versus Cetkovska
Radwanska versus Madison Keys (American!)
Fourth of July weekend up north in the Lake District with three other American couples. We totally lucked out with the weather, and had an amazing time in the adorable town of Keswick. Hiking, grilling, boating, swimming...as I kept saying throughout the weekend, "the trip was good for the soul!".
Hiking around Lake Buttermere
And he's off...sweet Carson (our friends' Goldendoodle) couldn't resist the sheep...I've never seen a sheep run that fast!
And then we saw this sign...oops!
Our grill masters for the 4th of July BBQ
USA!
Loved our 4th of July outfits!
Beginning our hike up Catbells
Talk about a picnic spot!
Rewarding ourselves after making it to the top of Catbells!
Kelly and I respresentin' the UK
Carson and some sheep, take 2
A little lake time
Our first annual London Lobster Fest! It was our turn to host a few of our friends for dinner, so we thought this would be the perfect opportunity to continue our BYOL (Bring Your Own Lobster) parties over here in London. Preparations started early, as Grant made his way over to Billingsgate Market at 5 am! It closes at 9:30 am, so you have to get there early to ensure you get exactly what you want. The evening was so much fun! The food was great, but the company was even better :)
My first Royal sighting?!?!?!?!?!
While G and I were soaking up the sun in Kensington Gardens a few weekends ago, I spotted a crowd gathering around someone. It HAD to be someone famous, right? As I calmly walked ran over to see who it was, my heart started racing! Could it really be them?!
Of course it couldn't be them, this close to Kate giving birth...but hopefully this was a premonition.
Welcome to the world little Prince! Yes, I admit that my screen is currently split as I work on this blog post...the other half of my screen is the live stream in front of the hospital, waiting for Will & Kate to emerge with their new little royal (and no, I will not tell you how long I have been watching...)!
They were pretty good! Had me fooled for a quick second...
