Exploring England's Coast...off to Cornwall!

First road trip...

Along with 3 other couples, we made the 5 hour drive down to beautiful Cornwall on England’s southwest coast.  The weekend was full of good times…here are a few highlights!

-Since we were all American, and didn’t have the 4th off, we decided to do a 4th of July celebration in Cornwall…look at that spread :)

-Spa day!  It was supposed to rain all weekend, so the girls decided to hit the spa for some much-needed relaxation.  Massages, pool/spa time, and lunch overlooking the ocean - it was perfect!

-While the girls were enjoying our spa day, the boys set out for some coasteering.  What is coasteering you ask?  Well, it's a mix of climbing, bouldering, swimming, and cliff jumping while exploring the coastline...I think we made the right decision on sitting this activity out.

-Surfing – apparently Cornwall is known as having the best surfing in England, so of course some of the crew had to give it a try!  Here are some pics of Grant catching some waves…

-Newquay nightlife – absolutely crazy!  If you’re getting married here in England, chances are you’re having your hen-do & stag-do parties in Newquay.  We were completely surrounded by bachelorette & bachelor parties…and ALL of them had a theme.  For example, we saw Willy Wonka & his oompa loompas, a monkey with her many bananas, Buzz Lightyear, and many other interesting costumes.  We seriously felt like it was Halloween…I think we were quite possibly the ONLY people not dressed up.  So, you can imagine the great people watching it provided for the evening!
