Grant and I were lucky enough to attend the opening day of
Wimbledon 2012! We started the day
off right, with mimosas and Wimbledon’s finest, strawberries & cream, before making the short tube ride over to the grounds.
At Wimbledon, you’re able to gather round many of the
practice courts, and spot the players at their best…relaxed and having
fun - no pressure. Not only do you catch them
warming up, but they’re constantly walking by you to get to their practice
court…this was totally unexpected!
Here are a few of our sightings!
Nadal warming up (he wasn't even playing that day, so we were beyond excited to at least see him in action)
Tsonga walking by
del Potro on his way to a practice court
And the best for last...Fed!!! Grant nearly fainted.
Federer
After getting our Pimm’s, we made our way into Centre Court
to watch Djokovic & Sharapova…enjoyed lunch out on Henman Hill…and then
managed to switch tickets with an incredibly friendly British couple so that we
could watch Federer…Grant’s dream come true :)

It was such an amazing experience to be a part of the most
respected tennis tournament in the world.
Let’s hope we can make one more appearance next year!
