We couldn’t have picked a more beautiful day to explore China’s most breathtaking attraction, The Great Wall. Uncharacteristic of Beijing, we were blessed with a cool, sunny and clear day, and we practically had our stretch of the wall to ourselves.

Two of Grant’s coworkers, Dany and Jia, were kind enough to
organize the whole day for us – a 2-hour drive north of Beijing, lunch at a
family-run establishment, the unforgettable walk along the never-ending wall of
history, and a delicious Sichuan-style hot pot dinner to end the day. It was absolutely perfect, and a
wonderful introduction to the complex and exciting city of Beijing!
